Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central pebbled shield overlaid by crossed swords, the reverse with three of four attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 41. 05 mm (w) x 56. 36 mm (h), weighing 18. 7 grams, with moderate loss of gilt finish evident in addition to the missing prong, in
