Winemaker Guffens has recently freshened up his multi-vintage 'solera' with some Sauvignon

Sourced from old vines planted at elevation

This classic Cabernet Sauvignon had a small addition of Merlot to fill out the mid-palate and is charactersied by vibrant varietal fruit and long firm tannins

This wine has strong aging potential

It has very light soil and the purest blue slate of any Mosel vineyard

Graillot Syrah 2015 la-spinetta Winemaker Guffens has recently freshenedAs always both the Graillot Syrah and the Syrah No. 2 come from the same, 3. 3 hectare vineyard. The Graillot Syrah tends to come from the top of the block while the Syrah No. 2 comes from further down the slope. Ultimately however the wines are made via a barrel selection with the aim being to select the most refined, perfumed and elegant barrels for the Graillot label.
