Constructed of bronzed aluminum, the obverse bearing an inscription of DRL FACHAMT RUDERN GAU III, PUNKT WANDERING, flanked by a DRL style German national eagle overlaid by a mobile swastika, above Olympic rings bearing a date of 1936, affixed to a wooden plaque with a reverse hook, unmarked, measuring 110 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), the shield has loosened from the plaque and some material fatigue is evident, in overall very fine
